There was a lot of uproar from Patna to Delhi over the issue of intensive revision of voter list in Bihar. In the Bihar Legislative Assembly, there was a noise between Tejashwi Yadav and Nitish Kumar. RJD MLA and Deputy CM Vijay Sinha clashed with each other. Tejashwi Yadav said that it was being claimed that a large number of Bangladeshi and Rohingya voters have been made in Bihar, so revision of the voter list is necessary, but not a single such voter has been found so far.

Tejashwi Yadav asked why the vote of 51 lakh people is being cut? Is not the democracy killing the right to vote from citizens? Nitish Kumar got angry at this. The leaders of the opposition also made a lot of noise in the Parliament. Demanded an immediate debate on the revision of the voter list, but there is a clear indication from the government that the issue will not be discussed in Parliament as the Election Commission is an independent constitutional body, it is its right to revise the voter list, Parliament cannot interfere in it.

But Rahul Gandhi said that he has strong evidence that in Maharashtra as well as in Karnataka, there was a large -scale rigging in the voter list, evidence of this will soon make public public and it will be difficult to answer to the Election Commission. But the question is that when the Supreme Court is to be heard on this issue on July 28, then why are the opposition making uproar in the Assembly and Parliament.

All the leaders of the opposition are accusing the Election Commission, besieging the government on the pretext of the Commission, but the commission is engaged in doing its work. Among the data released by the Election Commission, it has been told that the revision work of voter list in Bihar has almost been completed. Forms of more than 98 percent voters have been submitted. So far, twenty lakh names have been found in the voter list who have died. 28 lakh voters did not meet at their address, they have gone to another place. Seven lakh people were found whose vote has been made more than one place. One lakh people were not detected.

The Election Commission says that the draft of the voter list will be ready by 1 August. Then it will be amended by 1 September. If anyone has any objection or complaint, the Election Commission will investigate it. Political parties will also be able to check the voter list on the ground. The voter list will be final after all the complaints are removed in a month. I think the opposition should wait for the draft of the voter list and the Supreme Court’s decision instead of throwing mud on the Election Commission.

Justice Yashwant Verma’s case may be prolonged

The Supreme Court approved the application filed by Justice Yashwant Verma for hearing. Justice Verma has challenged the report of the Supreme Court Committee to investigate the cash-gand and also demanded to dismiss the recommendation of former Chief Justice of India Sanjeev Khanna seeking to conduct impeachment against him.

Justice Verma has fielded big lawyers like Kapil Sibal, Mukul Rohatgi, Siddharth Luthra and Siddharth Aggarwal in the Supreme Court. Kapil Sibal mentioned the application of Justice Yashwant Verma in the bench of Chief Justice BR Gawai and said that Justice Verma has raised some constitutional questions, so his application should be heard soon. Chief Justice Gawai said to set up a bench to hear the case but also made it clear that he would not be a part of the bench itself as he was also part of the process of investigation against Justice Verma as a member of the Supreme Court collegium.

In March this year, Justice Verma’s house was on fire. After this, burnt sacks filled with notes were found which were later disappeared. After this, the then Chief Justice Sanjeev Khanna transferred Justice Verma to the Allahabad High Court from the Delhi High Court and formed a committee of three judges under the chairmanship of Punjab and Haryana High Court Chief Justice Sheel Nagu to investigate the case. The committee took statements of 55 witnesses, visited Justice Verma’s government bungalow and found that the sacks filled with notes were found by Justice Verma.

Justice Verma’s case is getting delayed. The matter is taking a strange stance. Watch from the beginning. Notes are found at his house, his proof is on the video, the police have seen, but neither the police can interrogate them, nor can FIR, nor can Panchnama because the law is so.

The rights of the Supreme Court’s Chief Justice are also limited in such cases. He can also transfer the judge only which he has done. Second work, he can investigate this entire matter, even if the judge has found Justice Verma guilty in the enquariry that happened, he can still ask Chief Justice Justice Verma to resign. He said but Justice Verma refused. After this, the Chief Justice of India asked the government to impeach them.

The process of impeachment is also long. Before this process started, justice Verma challenged the decision of Chief Justice in the Supreme Court. Big lawyers will appear on their behalf. This case may be prolonged. IMPEACHMENT will also take time and until a final decision is taken, Justice Yashwant Verma will remain the judge of High Court, his status will remain intact.
