New Delhi: Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh attended the Comptroller Conference organized by DRDO. During this, he said, “You have held the Comptroller Conference, but I think your mind should be open and receptive. The responsibility of this department is not just to handle the accounts on paper, but it is also an important part of our security system. When you work honestly, its effect reaches the soldiers who protect our borders. They feel that there is a system behind them which will be with them in every situation.”
Our defense budget is bigger than GDP of some countries: Rajnath
Rajnath Singh said, “If you look at our defense budget, it is bigger than the GDP of some countries of the world. When a large part of the hard earned money is allocated to the Defense Ministry, our responsibility increases rapidly. We need effective development. Our defense expenses should be such that not only the budget is increased, but we can also use it through the right purpose.”
He said, “The Defense Acquisition Council has allowed capital procurement from the GEM portal for the first time, it is a commendable step.
Demand for our indigenous defense products increased: Rajnath
Speaking at the Comptroller Conference organized by DRDO, Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said, “The world is looking towards our defense sector. The valor that our soldiers have shown during Operation Sindoor, as well as the way we have demonstrated the capabilities of our household appliances, has increased the demand for our Swadeshi defense products. The demand for our Swadeshi Defense Products has increased. The world military expenditure in 2024 has increased to more than 2.7 trillion expenditure.”
All of us should move one step further in defense economics: Rajnath
Speaking at the Comptroller Conference organized by the DRDO, Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said, “The transformational changes in the defense sector today were not like this earlier. Today’s changes are dynamic and uncertain. The time of peace is a pretense, more than that. Suddenly, we should all consider solving this issue. All this needs to be done in the time of peace.
