BJP organized a rally

The main opposition party of Karnataka, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), on Monday organized a rally in the Dharmasthal of South Kannada district and demanded an inquiry into several murders, rapes and allegations of burying in the city. According to BJP, around one lakh people from all over Karnataka participated in this demonstration. According to the party, it was a demonstration of solidarity against the ‘temple and attempt to discredit its traditions’.

These leaders joined the rally

The rally organized by ‘Dharmasthal Chalo’ attended Union Minister Pralhad Joshi, former Chief Minister Sadanand Gowda, Leader of Opposition in Assembly R Ashok, BJP state president BY Vijayendra, MP and other senior leaders.

Investigation should be handed over to CBI and NIA

While addressing the rally, Vijayendra urged the Center to hand over the matter to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) or the National Investigation Agency (NIA). He accused the Congress government led by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah of being ‘failed to provide justice to the Hindu community’. He also confirmed the long -pending case of a young woman missing in 2003 and reiterated the party’s support to bring justice to her family.

SIT is still investigating this case

BJP leaders said that the objective of this rally was to combat the ‘campaign to defame’ among the most prominent religious and cultural centers in Karnataka. The Congress government has formed a special investigation team (SIT) to investigate the allegations. However, BJP says that only one central agency can ensure transparent investigation. Earlier in the day, Vijayendra and Ashok along with a delegation of BJP leaders visited the Manjunath temple and offered prayers. He also met Virendra Hegde, the religious officer of the temple.
