If you want to add name in ration card, then you need these documents:-

  • If your child’s name has not yet been added to the ration card, then you can get it added, for which you first need the child’s birth certificate. Keep in mind that this is the most important document to get your name added to the ration card. You can get it from Municipal Corporation, Municipality or Gram Panchayat


  • If you want to get your child’s name added in the ration card, then the second document for this is the photo of the head. You need a passport size photograph of the head of the household (in whose name the ration card is)
  • To add name to the ration card, you also need the Aadhar card of the child.


Method of adding child’s name in ration card:-

step 1

  • If you also have all the necessary documents, then now you have to go to the official website of the Food Supply Department of your state.
  • For example, if you are a resident of Uttar Pradesh then you have to go to the official website of the Food Supply Department https://fcs.up.gov.in/


Step 2

  • After this you have to click on the option ‘Add name of new member in ration card’
  • Then the application form will appear in front of you where you have to fill all the information of the child.
  • Also attach the necessary documents and then submit the application after paying the application fee.
