Raxaul Suspected Bangladeshi citizen arrested on India-Nepal border
East Champaran, 18 September. A suspected Bangladeshi citizen entering India from Nepal has been arrested by the Immigration Department at Raxaul border. Korean, Nepali and Indian rupees along with Indian Aadhaar card, PAN card and voter ID card have been recovered from the Bangladeshi citizen. The arrested Bangladeshi held Indian citizenship and lived in Bodhgaya. Who told the Immigration Department team during interrogation that he is a follower of Buddhism and he propagates Buddhism. He was going to Korea in this connection.
The arrested Bangladeshi has been identified as Shravan Baruva. According to the Immigration Department, how he reached India from Bangladesh and with whose help he got Aadhar Card, PAN Card and Voter ID Card made in India is a matter of investigation. After the arrest, the IB team, SSB and other security forces are on alert. Giving information about this, Raxaul DSP Dhirendra Kumar said that during the investigation, 36 thousand rupees, 200 Nepali rupees and 4 lakh 90 thousand Korean currency have been recovered from him. He wanted to go to South Korea via Nepal. When he reached Nepal Kathmandu Airport, Immigration Department officials asked him for No Objection Certificate. During investigation, Raxaul immigration officials found that he was a Bangladeshi.
