RBI Rules: Now all bank branches will remain open even on holidays, RBI issued order

Bank Holiday: This has been done in view of the transactions related to receipts and payments of the Government of India. After this order of RBI, all the branches of banks will remain open.

The bank has taken a big decision on the request of the government. According to the latest order of RBI, bank branches will remain open on Sunday, March 31, 2024. This decision to keep banks open on Sundays has been taken in view of the transactions related to receipts and payments of the Government of India. After this order of RBI, all the branches of banks will remain open.

According to the RBI circular, “Banks are advised to keep all their branches related to government business open on Sunday, March 31, 2024. All agency banks will also remain open to the public on Sunday.” It is clear from this circular that along with government work, banks will also work for the general public. On this day, all the facilities provided to the general public will continue as before. This notification has been issued through RBI Chief General Manager Sunil T S Nair.

All transactions are settled

Every year 31st March is the last day of the financial year. On this day, all transactions related to the government should be settled ideally. Due to this, transactions through National Electronic Funds Transfer (NEFT) and Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) system continue till 12 midnight on March 31.
