Red alert of rain, appeal to people not to get out, clouds raining in Delhi

Uttarakhand, UP and Bihar still have alert of heavy rain. Delhi-NCR has been raining late night. Many districts of Uttarakhand have a red alert of heavy rains. Due to rain, the Meteorological Department in Uttarakhand has appealed not to get out of the people. The administration is busy vacating Harshil of Uttarkashi. There is a danger of breaking of Artificial Lake here.

Water filled in low -lying areas of Delhi

Delhi received heavy rain all night last night. Many low -lying areas were flooded due to rain. There has been water logging in Minto Road, Moti Bagh area of Delhi. It is raining this morning as well. The Meteorological Department has projected more rain in Delhi-NCR.

Schools in Bihar also closed due to heavy rains

Many rivers including Ganga and Kosi are in spate in Bihar. There is water logging in 7 districts including Patna, Bhagalpur, Begusarai. 70 percent of the ring dam built at a cost of 15 crores in Navagachia has been washed away. 24 panchayats of 7 blocks of Patna are in the grip of flood. More than 137 schools in Begusarai have been announced to be closed by 14 August.

Kedarnath Yatra stopped due to heavy rains

The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert of heavy rains in Uttarakhand. The Rudraprayag district administration has stopped the Kedarnath Yatra till 14 August for the next 3 days in view of the warning of heavy rains. Rudraprayag District Magistrate Prateek Jain said that the Meteorological Center in Dehradun has predicted heavy rainfall at many places across the state including Rudraprayag on August 12, 13 and 14.

Orange alert in many districts of Himachal

In Himachal Pradesh, the Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for heavy rains at some places till Thursday. Rain continues in some parts of the state. There is a danger of lendsliding in areas with high altitude of the state.
