He said that the board has neither discussed any Asia Cup nor written anything about this to ACC. Currently, BCCI’s entire focus is on IPL and England tour.

In some media reports about the Asia Cup 2025, it was being claimed that India could withdraw from this tournament. The reason was being told that the ongoing tension between India and Pakistan and the presence of Pakistan minister Mohsin Naqvi as the ACC chief.

He further said that “there have been reports from the morning that India will not play in the Asia Cup and Women’s Emerging Asia Cup, but there is no truth in it. Right now our entire focus is on IPL and England series (both women and men).”

Significantly, India is also the host of the men’s Asia Cup to be held in September this year and the last time champion team. A total of eight teams are expected to participate in the tournament, and it was already being said that Pakistan’s matches would be played outside India.
