Patna. A review meeting was held through video conferencing with District Cooperative Officers, Cooperative Extension Officers and District Managers of Common Service Center (CSC) under the chairmanship of Registrar Cooperation Committees’ Inayat Khan. The main objective of this meeting was to take stock of the establishment of CSC and its activity in packs in various districts of the state.

According to the reviewed report during the meeting, CSC ID has been activated in more than 90 percent packs in districts like Sheikhpura, Kaimur, Madhepura, Supaul. At the same time, in the absence of expected progress in Munger, Buxar, Gopalganj, Aurangabad and Lakhisarai districts, the Registrar Cooperation Committees gave strict instructions to the Cooperative Extension Officers to coordinate with the district level CSC managers and activate all the packs quickly so that CSC services can be effectively available in every field.

Common service centers set up through packs in the state are playing an important role in meeting the daily needs of the rural people. Many important services like rail, bus ticket booking, Ayushman card, PAN card, Aadhaar card are being provided here, which are benefiting from rural students to farmers.

The objective of installing CSC in PACSS is to strengthen the access of digital services in rural areas and to provide benefits of government schemes directly to the farmers and villagers. Under this scheme, packs provide more than 300 services to citizens including banking, insurance, Aadhaar enrollment, health, legal aid, agricultural materials, PAN card, IRCTC ticket booking, RTPS facilities.

These centers are being enabled on digital platforms from the PACS Computerization Scheme, so that they can provide services easily. It is noteworthy that 4,477 packs have been computerized in the first phase in the state, while a total CSC ID of a total of 5,987 packs has been created, out of which 4,316 packs are active. So far, more than Rs 4.5 crore business has been completed through these CSC centers.

This initiative is not only connecting rural people with digital services, but also providing them an opportunity to make them self -reliant and get the benefit of government schemes in their own village.
