Lucknow Super Giants vs Delhi Capitals Rishabh Pant’s batting decision at number seven during the match shocked everyone. Regarding this, Harbhajan Singh questioned this and said that if the captain is not happy then how will the team win. Pant’s dugout was also captured in the camera, anger in the dugout and the debate with the team management. This decision is indicating tension within the team.

In the 40th match of IPL 2025, Lucknow Super Giants lost by 8 wickets to Delhi Capitals. In this match, Rishabh Pant’s decision to bat at number seven shocked everyone. Pant came to the crease in the last over and returned to the pavilion without opening an account. The conversation between Pant and LSG mentor Zaheer Khan during the match also discussed a lot of discussion.

Former cricketer Harbhajan Singh questioned this whole incident. On his YouTube channel, Harbhajan said, “Rishabh Pant’s coming at number seven is beyond my comprehension. Players like Abdul Samad and Ayush Badoni were sent before him, whose decision was this decision? Team management or Pant himself?”

Harbhajan further said that Pant looked angry on the field and it seemed that he was said to be something that he was not happy. Bhajji also said that how can the team perform well if the captain’s mood is bad.

Significantly, Pant is struggling with his form in IPL 2025 so far. Despite being sold for a record of Rs 27 crore, he has been able to score only 109 runs in nine matches. In such a situation, Harbhajan believes that demoting the captain was not the right decision, even if he is not in form.
