Indian cricket legend Rohit Sharma received a special honor at his home ground Wankhede Stadium, which not only Rohit but also his family became emotional. The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) honored the legendary batsman by naming a stand at the Wankhede Stadium on Friday 16 May at the Wankhede Stadium.
Many dignitaries including Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis were present on the occasion. On this occasion, Rohit Sharma’s wife Ritika Sajdeh became quite emotional and tears tears from her eyes.

When the stand was inaugurated in the name of Rohit during the program, Ritika could not stop her tears. Rohit Sharma retired from Test cricket
After winning the final of the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, Rohit Sharma announced his retirement from T20 International cricket. After which he was playing ODI and Test matches for the Indian team. But Rohit Sharma, through his social media, announced his retirement from Test cricket on 7 May 2025. After which now he will be seen playing only in ODIs for the Indian team.
