Sharing the story, Rohit wrote, “I want to share that I am retiring from Test cricket. Representing the country in white was a great respect. Thank you for your love and support for years.”

Will continue to play in ODIs

Rohit wrote that he will continue to represent India in ODI cricket. Let us tell you that after the T20 World Cup played in 2024, Hitman announced his retirement from T20 International and now he decided to retire from Test cricket.

Rohit Sharma’s Test Career

Significantly, Rohit Sharma played 67 matches in his Test career. Batting these matches in 116 innings, he scored 4301 runs at an average of 40.57. During this time, 12 centuries and 18 half -centuries have been scored from his bat, with high score of 212 runs.

Rohit made his Test debut in November 2013 through a match played against West Indies at the Eden Gardens. In this context, his Test career lasted for about 12 years. Apart from batting, he took 2 wickets while bowling in 16 innings of Tests.
