Round of meetings in Delhi after Pahalgam attack, preparation for big action against Pakistan

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has asked the armed forces to give full freedom to take action against terrorism.

New Delhi: After the terrorist attack on April 22 in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, the Government of India has intensified the preparations for decisive action against Pakistan. 26 people were killed in this attack, which included most of the tourists. The terrorists brutally murdered people after asking for religious identity. Today, 4 important meetings are going to be held in Delhi, which shows that India is fully ready to give a strong reply against terrorism. In these meetings, a blueprint for military, diplomatic and economic action on Pakistan will be prepared.

4 important meetings to be held today

1: Cabinet Committee on Security Meeting

This is the second CCS meeting after the Pahalgam attack. In this meeting to be held at 11 am under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, External Affairs Minister S.K. Jaishankar and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will be involved. The main objective of the meeting is to review security preparations after the Pahalgam attack and discuss the strategy of possible military action against Pakistan. According to sources, this meeting will consider giving complete exemption to the armed forces to take the way of action, target and time.

2: Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs meeting

The CCS Cabinet Committee on Political Affairs i.e. CCPA meeting will discuss political effects and the impact of action. Prime Minister Modi will also be chaired in this meeting, and it will include Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari, Health Minister JP Nadda, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal and many other senior ministers. In this meeting, the regional and international influences of India’s action will be discussed.

3: Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs meeting

The third meeting will be of the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs, in which the strategy to increase economic pressure on Pakistan will be discussed. India has already been successful in financially weakening Pakistan after the Uri and Pulwama attacks. In this meeting, Prime Minister Modi, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, External Affairs Minister S.K. Jaishankar, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan and other ministers will be included. The meeting will consider new economic sanctions and business measures against Pakistan.

4: Union Cabinet meeting

The last and most important meeting of the day will be of the Union Cabinet, in which the final blue print of action against Pakistan will be prepared. In this meeting, military, diplomatic and economic strategies will be approved in the presence of all ministers. Please tell that on one hand, where India is busy in the preparations, then there is a lot of emphasis in diplomacy. Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar has spoken to the foreign ministers of 9 countries on the phone on Tuesday. India’s stand after Pahalgam attack

The responsibility of the terrorist attack in Basaron Valley of Pahalgam was taken by the terrorist organization The Resistance Front (TRF) associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba. This attack has been linked to Pakistan sponsored terrorism, after which India has taken many stringent steps. In the first CCS meeting held on 23 April, India took the following decisions:

  1. Suspend Indus Water Treaty: The 1960 Treaty was suspended with immediate effect.
  2. Attari-Wagah border closed: The integrated investigation post was closed with immediate effect.
  3. Action on Pakistani diplomats: The Defense, Navy and air advisors of the Pakistani High Commission were declared unwanted and ordered to leave India in a week.
  4. SAARC Visa canceled: The SAARC visa discount scheme for Pakistani citizens was canceled, and such citizens in India were directed to leave the country in 48 hours.

Government’s strategy and army open exemption

In a high-level meeting held on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked the armed forces to give full freedom to take action against terrorism. He said, ‘It is our national resolve to give a shock to terrorism. We have full confidence in the professional capabilities of the Indian Armed Forces. The method, goal and time of action against terrorism should be set. The meeting was attended by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Chief of Defense Staff General Anil Chauhan, Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal AP Singh and Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh Tripathi.

Awe atmosphere in Pakistan

Meanwhile, there is an atmosphere of panic in Pakistan for India’s preparations. Pakistan’s Information and Broadcasting Minister Attaullah Tarar claimed that he had intelligence information that India could take military action against Pakistan in the next 24-36 hours. Accusing India of making ‘baseless and concocted allegations’, Tarar said that Pakistan would answer ‘definite and decisive’ to any military action. He appealed to the international community to take responsibility for India’s actions.
