Pahalgam: The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh i.e. RSS on Tuesday strongly condemned the brutal terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. 26 people died in this terrorist attack while many others were also injured. The dead include 2 foreign nationals, one of whom was from the United Arab Emirates and the other from Nepal. Let us know that this is the most deadly terrorist attack in the Kashmir Valley after the 2019 Pulwama attack. The attack took place at around 3 pm on Tuesday afternoon in the famous grassland of Basaron, 6 km from Pahalgam, called ‘Mini Switzerland’.
‘The misery of attacking the unity and integrity of the country’
Reacting to the terrorist attack, Sarkaryavah Dattatreya Hosbale of RSS said, ‘The brutal terrorist attack on tourists in Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir is extremely condemnable and influential. We pay homage to everyone who died in the incident and wish for early health benefits of the injured. This attack is a misery to attack the unity and integrity of the country. All political parties and institutions should rose above all differences and condemn it. The government should make necessary arrangements for the help of all the victims and their families. And the government should soon take appropriate steps to punish those responsible for this attack.
‘Ask the names of the victims before the attackers shot’
According to eyewitnesses, armed terrorists entered the meadow and started firing indiscriminately on tourists around the restaurants, riding a mule or picnic. Some eyewitnesses said that the terrorists asked the names of the victims before being shot. There was chaos after the attack, and people ran to hide, but there was no safe place in the open field. The new form of Pakistan-based banned terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba (Let) ‘The Resistance Front’ i.e. TRF has taken responsibility for the attack. Officials believe that the terrorists reached Basaron from Kishtwar in Jammu via Cokeranag.
