Along with this, many villages have been captured in the northeastern Ukrainian region. Kiev has also confirmed this, saying that Russia has controlled several villages near Sumi region in recent weeks.

Ukraine’s Border Security Service spokesman Andrey Demchenko warned on Thursday that Russia could attempts to attack Sumi. The Ukrainian administration said that the decision to vacate the villages located within a radius of about 30 km from the border has been taken in view of “frequent shells on border communities and threat to the lives of citizens”. So far, 213 settlements of Sumi region have been ordered to be vacated. The Russian Ministry of Defense on Saturday claimed that its soldiers had also captured another village Vodolagi in Sumi region.
