The 28 -year -old right -handed batsman completed a century in 122 balls and scored a total of 133 runs in 144 balls. On the first day of this match, there was an excellent partnership of 220 runs between Gaikwad and Arshin Kulkarni. Kulkarni also played a brilliant innings of 146 runs and strengthened the team. Earlier, the tournament was poor for Gaikwad, when he was dismissed for 1 and 11 against Chhattisgarh.
