SA vs Zim 1st T20I Highlights: In the first match of the T20 TRAI-series played at Harare Sports Club, South Africa defeated Zimbabwe by 5 wickets and debut. Batting first, Zimbabwe scored 141/6 runs on the basis of captain Sikander Raza’s unbeaten 54 runs. In response, South Africa achieved the target in 15.5 overs on the basis of partnership with Dewald Bravis (41) and Rubin Harman (45). George Linde took 3 wickets while performing brilliantly with the ball.

South Africa defeated Zimbabwe by 5 wickets in the first match of the T20 Tri-series played on Monday (July 14) in Harare and took a 1-0 lead in the series. Batting first, Zimbabwe’s start was stuttering and the team was reduced to 55/3 in 10 overs. However, captain Sikander Raza, while taking the front, scored an unbeaten 54 in 38 balls with the help of 3 fours and 2 sixes and took the team to a respectable score.

Ryan Berl also scored 29 runs in 20 balls and Brian Bennett 30 runs. But the rest of the batsmen could not do anything special. George Linde was the most successful bowler for South Africa, who took 3 wickets for just 10 runs in 3 overs. Nandre Burger, Nakaba Peter and Lungi Angidi had one success each.

Chasing the target, South Africa started very poorly. Debuting in T20, Luan-Dray Pretorius was already dismissed on the ball. After this, Riza Hendrix and captain rope van Der Dusen also returned to the pavilion early and ranked at 38/3 in the team powerplay.

After this, Dewald Brevis and Rubin Harman overturned the match by adding 72 runs for the fourth wicket. Brevis scored 41 runs in 17 balls, while Harman scored a restrained innings of 45 runs in 37 balls. Finally, Corbin Bosch (23* run) and George Linde (3*) together won the team in 15.5 overs.

With this victory, South Africa started the tournament with the victory by winning the first match in the Zimbabwe T20 Tri-series.
