Samoa Earthquake: 6.6 Earthquake trembling island nation Samoa, people came in panic

Melbourne: The island nation Samoa, located in the South Pacific Ocean, has suffered a strong setback of the earthquake. On Friday, the people of this country have come to panic due to the 6.6 magnitude earthquake. According to the US Geological Survey (USGS) agency, the earthquake occurred in a depth of 440 km (273 mi) south-west from the capital Apia late in the morning, 314 km (195 mi). No immediate report of any kind of damage or injury has been received so far.

The US tsunami warning system did not issue any tsunami warning after the earthquake. Let us know that Samoa is located on “Ring of Fire”. It is a seismic region spread around the Pacific Ocean, where earthquakes and volcanic activities are common. Significantly, in 2009, two major earthquakes occurred between Samoa and American Samoa (an American region), causing tsunami waves and at least 192 people were killed in Samoa, American Samoa and Tonga.
