Sankashti Chaturthi is a holy day dedicated to Lord Ganesha. This day is celebrated on the Chaturthi of Krishna Paksha of every lunar month of the Hindu calendar. There is a mythological belief that by worshiping Lord Ganesha on this day, life’s problems go away and wishes are fulfilled. Sankashti Chaturthi is also called Sankat Har Chaturthi. On this day, fast is observed from sunrise to moonrise. It is believed that by fasting on this day, wishes are fulfilled.
