Savarkar defamation case-Rahul’s petition back
The petition filed in the Special Court of Pune regarding the security of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi was withdrawn by his lawyer Milind Pawar on Thursday. Pune’s Special MP/MLA Court Savarkar is hearing against Rahul in the defamation case.
Pawar said that this morning an application has been filed in the Special Court and requested to allow the said petition to be withdrawn. The court took the petition on record on Wednesday. However, the court today allowed me to withdraw the above petition.
In fact, Rahul’s lawyer Pawar filed a petition in the court on Wednesday, threatening Rahul’s life. Pawar gave written information in the court that after exposing the case of “vote theft”, the threat to Rahul Gandhi has increased.
However, after the news came in the media, Congress leader Supriya Srinet had said that this petition has been filed without Rahul’s consent. Shrinet shared information on X.
The petition said- Rahul was threatened by BJP leaders
Pawar had said in his petition that BJP leader RN Bittu called Gandhi a “terrorist”. At the same time, another BJP leader Tarwinder Marwah had also made an open threat, in which he said that Gandhi should ‘behave well, otherwise he may also have his grandmother -like fate.’
In addition, Pawar highlighted the Congress Satyaki’s relationship with Savarkar and (Nathuram) Godse families in this case.
However, within a few hours of the filing of the petition on Wednesday and reported by the media, Pawar issued a note saying that he did not consult Gandhi before filing the petition.
In London, Savarkar had beaten Muslim
In March 2023, Rahul Gandhi claimed in a speech in London that VD Savarkar wrote in a book that he and his five to six friends once beat up a Muslim person and were happy with it. Citing this speech, Satyaki Savarkar has filed a defamation case against Gandhi.
In the same case, on July 3, the MP/MLA court of Pune dismissed the petition of Savarkar’s grandson Satyaki Savarkar in which he demanded Rahul Gandhi to show the book, in which he allegedly made derogatory remarks against Savarkar. Justice Amol Shinde had said that the Congress leader cannot be forced to present the book.
The petition filed in the Pune court alleges that Rahul Gandhi’s statement insulted the Hindu community. Rahul had said that a true Hindu is never violent, does not spread hatred. BJP spreads hatred and violence.
