Sawan is keeping Monday fast for the first time, then definitely adopt these rules

If you are thinking of observing the fast on Sawan Monday in Shravan month, then first know the rules and precautions to do this fast. So that you get full benefit of keeping fast or the purpose of which you are keeping this fast, or your wish is fulfilled. Therefore, the first fast should know this. Sawan Monday fast rules:

1. Do not fast arbitrarily. Follow the scriptural fasting.

2. What to eat and know what not.

3. Get up early in the morning on the fast and take a bath.

4. After bathing, take a pledge to fast as you want to fast in front of Shiva.

5. Worship the Shivling duly. Worship Panchopchar or Shodashopchar.

6. Do worship between 5 am to 12 noon and do it anytime after 5 pm.

7. Do Panchamrit Abhishek or Rudrabhishek in Abhishek.

8. After worshiping, offer fruits, kheer or fruits to God and accept it as a prasad.

9. Do not fulfill the full -fledged. Take fruit, take juice or eat sago khichdi.

10. Fasting the fast after sunrise the next day. Paran means opening fast.

11. Before Paran, worship the prasad by worshiping Shiva.

12. Recite “Mahamrityunjaya Mantra”, “Om Namah Shivaya”, or “Shiva Chalisa” throughout the day.

Take these precautions:-

1. Stay away from grains, salt, hard, buttermilk and tamasic food.

2. If the waterless fast is difficult, coconut water or normal water can be consumed.

3. Do not be bitter, lie or anger to anyone throughout the day.

4. Do not do a complete revolution of Shivling. Jaladhari is not violated.

5. Do not worship Shivling by facing south or west.

6. After taking the resolution of the fast, do not break the fast in the middle, break it only when there is a big problem.

7. Tulsi, turmeric, vermilion, coconut etc. should not be offered on the Shivling.
