School Accident: Minor dies after getting trapped under lift in Sydney school, rescue work underway

Sydney News Desk!!! Police in the Australian state of New South Wales (NSW) on Wednesday confirmed the death of a 10-year-old boy after getting trapped under a lift at a Sydney school. Emergency services were called to the school on Cleveland Street in Wahrunga, a suburb of Sydney’s north shore, at about 2pm, according to Xinhua news agency. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a 10-year-old boy trapped under the lift. Despite efforts to rescue the boy, he died on the spot.

The NSW Police Force said an operation to rescue the child was ongoing. According to media reports, the incident occurred at a special primary and high school for children with disabilities. Officers are present at the spot for further investigation.
