Scientists will go to the farmers’ houses before the Kharif season, will tell how to do the right farming

Now scientists will go from house to house to teach farmers how to do correct farming. Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has announced that the Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan developed from today is being launched, which will run till June 12. Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan started this campaign from Jagannathpuri in Orissa today. The Union Agriculture Minister said that under the developed Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan, they will organize programs in different states of the country.

Scientists will come to farmers’ houses

He further said that food stores should be filled in the country, the income of farmers should increase. For this, we are leaving every village. Our scientists will no longer sit in the lab, but will reach the ground and teach farmers the right way to cultivate, which will increase their income.

Program will run till 12 June

Further, Shivraj Singh Chauhan said that the farmer brothers, my appeal to you is to leave any stone unturned to make this campaign run from May 29 to June 12. Agriculture is the backbone of the Indian economy and the farmers are its soul. When the farmer sows seeds in the field, he does not only sow seeds, he also sows life. This year, 3539.59 lakh metric tonnes of food grains have been produced in the country, which is 216.61 lakh metric tonnes more than last year, but it is not to stop and it has to be increased further.

We become the food basket of the world

He further said that India will not only fill the stomach of the people of the country, but we have to become the food basket of the world. If production is to increase then the most important is good seeds, for this I congratulate the scientists of ICAR who are constantly using new seeds by using in the lab. Shivraj Singh Chauhan further said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Union Cabinet has taken an important decision to increase the minimum support price (MSP) of 14 kharif crops yesterday.

Take time out and sit with them- Agriculture Minister

He further said that the developed Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan ‘means that scientific lab should go out of the farm among the farmers, sit with you in the village. From today all scientists are coming out of the lab to your village. I want to appeal to the farmers of the whole country that scientists are coming to your village. You take time out and sit with them, learn new experiments in farming and increase production. I say to scientists that you are going to serve the farmers. It is your good fortune that you are getting the opportunity to increase the production of their crop by talking to the farmers in the village, there can be no greater virtue than this.
