SCO summit in Beijing will last long, PM Modi and Russian President Putin also likely to reach China

Tianjin (China): The ongoing Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) conference in Tianjin city of Beijing is not over yet. After the Summit of Foreign Ministers, now the meeting of the heads of state is also scheduled next month. Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Tuesday that the Tianjin Summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Sangathan (SCO) to be held next month will participate in more than 20 countries and the leading 10 international organizations.

PM Modi and Putin also expected to participate

According to China’s official news agency Xinhua, the summit will be held in Tianjin from 31 August to 1 September. This information was given by Wang at a joint press conference with SCO General Secretary Nurlan Yermekbayev. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Russian President Vladimir Putin and leaders of other member countries are also expected to participate in it.

There was a meeting of foreign ministers now

Earlier the conference was of foreign ministers, in which Foreign Minister S Jai Shankar took part from India. This important meeting of foreign ministers was held in Tianjin for the political preparations for the conference. During this, External Affairs Minister S.K. Jaishankar, Sergei Lavarov of Russia, Isaac Dar of Pakistan and Abbas Araghchi of Iran participated prominently. This meeting was chaired by Wang Yi.

Jaishankar met President Jinping

During this meeting, Jaishankar also met Chinese President Xi Jinping. He gave details of the progress made in India-China relations to Jinping. Along with this, there was talk of peace and harmony on LAC. Jaishankar and Jinping described India-China relations as important for regional peace and global peace. (Language)
