Mumbai: Even as police continue their investigation into the sensational killing of politician Baba Siddique who had close links with several Bollywood actor, Mumbai cops on Friday received death threat against Salman Khan.

In an anonymous message on Mumbai Traffic Police’s WhatsApp number, the sender demanded an amount of Rs 5 crore to settle issues between the actor and gangster Lawrence Bishnoi.

‘Salman Khan should not take my words lightly’

In the message, the sender also threatened not to take his words lightly, otherwise Salman Khan will meet worse fate than Baba Siddique. The sender has claimed himself to be very close to Bishnoi.

Navi Mumbai police on Wednesday arrested a member of the gangster Lawrence Bishnoi gang in connection with an alleged plot to kill Salman Khan.

Police foil plot to kill Salman Khan

The accused, identified as Sukha alias Sukhbir Balbir Singh, was nabbed from Panipat in Haryana by a team of Panvel Town police (in Navi Mumbai).

Based on the preliminary probe, police said, Sukha had allegedly given a contract to Bishnoi gang members to kill Khan. Police further claimed that Sukhbir Singh was in touch with his Pakistan-based handler Dogar.

Sukhbir, along with Bishnoi gang members, had planned to use weapons from Pakistan, including AK-47s, M16s, and AK-92s, to execute a plot to kill Salman Khan, the police said in a statement.

Singh is also set to be questioned in connection with the murder of former Maharashtra minitser Baba Siddique after being produced in the court.

Lawrence Bishnoi booked for firing outside Salman’s house

On April 24, Navi Mumbai cops lodged a case against 18 identified suspects and other members of the Bishnoi gang for conspiring to kill Salman Khan. This came after a shooting incident outside the actor’s Bandra residence, reportedly carried out by the gang.

Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, along with his brother Anmol, Sampat Nehra, Goldie Brar, and Rohit Godhara, were among those named as accused in the FIR, according to the official.
