Share Bazaar has a big decline, Sensex 586 points drops, Nifty also broken 203 points

Share market update news: The Indian stock market closed for the second consecutive day on Friday amidst American duty concerns and extensive selling in global markets. The BSE Sensex lost 586 points while the NSE Nifty also recorded a decline of 203 points. According to analysts, there is a possibility of deadlock in global trade after the US government’s announcement of imposing a 25 percent fee. Apart from this, frequent selling of foreign investors also weakened the perception. On Thursday, the Sensex fell 296.28 points to 81,185.58 points and Nifty closed 86.70 points to close at 24,786.35 points.

BSE’s 30 -share standard index Sensex fell 585.67 points, or 0.72 percent to close at 80,599.91 points. At one time during trading, it fell to 690.01 points to a low of 80,495.57. The National Stock Exchange (NSE) 50 -share standard index Nifty also fell at 203 points, or 0.82 percent, to close at 24,565.35 points.

Among the companies included in the Sensex, Sun Pharma’s stock fell 4.43 percent. The company recorded a 20 percent decline in net profit of the April-June 2025 quarter, affecting investors’ perception. Apart from this, shares of Tata Steel, Maruti, Tata Motors, Infosys, Bharti Airtel and Tech Mahindra also closed down.

On the other hand, the shares of Trent, Asian Paints, Hindustan Unilever, ITC, Kotak Mahindra Bank and Reliance Industries saw a boom trend. US President Donald Trump on Thursday signed a government order, which announced a duty of up to 25 percent on imported goods from about 70 countries including India. This new fee will be effective from August 7.

According to the stock market data, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) on Thursday made a net selling of shares worth Rs 5,588.91 crore. Other markets in Asia, South Korea’s Korea, Japan’s Nikki, China’s Shanghai Composite and Hong Kong’s Hangseng were closed in losses.

European markets were trading with a decline. The American markets were closed within a negative scope on Thursday. Meanwhile, Brent crude futures fell 0.39 percent to $ 71.42 per barrel. On Thursday, the Sensex fell 296.28 points to 81,185.58 points and Nifty closed 86.70 points to close at 24,786.35 points. (Language)
