‘Shem on you ..’, Lalit Modi and Michael Clarke’s wife got furious on bringing the video of slapping
Former Indian fast bowler S. Sreesanth’s wife Bhuvaneshwari has reprimanded IPL founder Lalit Modi and former Australian cricketer Michael Clarke. He described the re -exposing a video of the infamous ‘Slapgate’ incident of 2008 as an attempt to popularity and called it “disgusting, disinterested and inhuman”.
Former Indian fast bowler S. Sreesanth’s wife Bhuvaneshwari on Friday targeted IPL founder Lalit Modi and former Australian cricketer Michael Clarke through a story on Instagram. In fact, both of them in a conversation on Beyond 23 Cricket Podcast exposed the video of the 2008 IPL season incident in which Harbhajan Singh slapped Sreesanth during the handshake after the match.
Lalit Modi shared this clip saying that the footage was recorded by his security camera, as broadcast cameras were closed at that time. However, the incident is quite old and both Harbhajan and Sreesanth have left it behind.
Bhuvaneshwari reacted strongly about this. He wrote in the Instagram story, “Shame on you, Lalit Modi and Michael Clarke. You guys pulled the old 2008 incident for only cheap popularity and views. Both Sreesanth and Harbhajan are both father, their lives have moved forward, but you are old wounds.
Bhuvaneshwari further said that after every difficulty, Sreesanth has rejuvenated his life with dignity and respect. “It is very painful for our family to get up again after 18 years for our family as a wife and mother.”
This incident, known as ‘Slapgate’, has been one of the most popular events in IPL history. However, Harbhajan and Sreesanth have now moved forward leaving behind this episode and have also appeared together on many occasions.
