Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty renewed old memories by celebrating the completion of 18 years of her family drama film ‘Apna’. On Sunday, the actress of ‘Dhadak’ shared an Instagram post on this special occasion. Shilpa shared a video with veteran actor Dharmendra and the film’s co-star Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol and brought back the old memories. This video with emotional scenes of family drama was set on the popular song ‘Apna To Apna Hain Hain’. The 2007 Sports Drama, directed by Anil Sharma, achieved an important milestone as it brought Dharmendra and his sons Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol together on screen for the first time. While Sunny and Bobby had previously shared screen space in ‘Dillagi’ (1999). Dharmendra appeared in ‘Sultanate’ (1986) and ‘Kshatriya’ (1993) with Sunny, ‘was the first film to bring all three together.

The film also played lead roles by Katrina Kaif, Shilpa Shetty and Kiran Kher. In ‘Apne’, Dharmendra played the role of Baldev Chaudhary, a former boxing champion, whose career was surrounded by controversies. Determined to get back his lost honor, he puts his hopes on his sons, Angad and Karan, whose roles have been played by Sunny and Bobby Deol. The film was released on 29 June 2007. Interestingly, Shilpa and Sunny have also worked together in films like ‘Himmat’, ‘Indian’ and ‘Karva: The Burden of Truth’.

Will Sunny and Shilpa pair together again?

The pair will allegedly be seen together in the upcoming action film ‘Lahore 1947’. Directed by Rajkumar Santoshi, the film is produced by Aamir Khan. The upcoming action film ‘Lahore 1947’ consists of Sunny Deol, Preity Zinta, Shilpa Shetty, Shabana Azmi, Ali Fazal, Abhimanyu Singh and many other actors. This is inspired by the play ‘Jis Lahore Nai Dekhya O Jamaayai New’ written by Ashgar Wajahat. While promoting ‘Jat’, Sunny Deol revealed that the release of ‘Lahore 1947’, which was initially prescribed for Republic Day 2025, has been postponed. He credited the delay to the dedication of producer Aamir Khan, which is dedicated to ensure that every detail of the film is correct.
