Especially famous for seafood, this place was a favorite location of film stars, industrialists and social media influencers. Shilpa Shetty started it in association with Ranjit Bindra.
60 crore fraud case
Shilpa and Raj Kundra’s difficulties increased when a businessman, Deepak Kothari accused her of cheating Rs 60.4 crore. Kothari says that he gave this amount as investment and loan between 2015 and 2023, but this money was allegedly used for private expenses. The case is related to a company called ‘Best Deal TV Private Limited’, which is now closed.
Legal side response
On behalf of Shilpa and Raj, advocate Prashant Patil dismissed the allegations, saying that it is an old transaction, which has already been heard in NCLT, Mumbai in 2024. He claimed that the matter is completely of civil nature and there is no criminal element. The lawyer also said that all necessary documents and financial statements have been handed over to the concerned agencies from time to time. He alleged that the case has been deliberately raised to tarnish the image of Shilpa and Raj and their clients are now preparing for legal action.
