Chief Election Commissioner Dnyanesh Kumar
The Election Commission held a press conference on Sunday on allegations of ‘vote theft’ by the opposition. During this period, the questions raised on the process of Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in Bihar and allegations of ‘vote theft’ were answered. While holding a press conference, Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar said that there is no party, nor opposition, but all equivalent for us.
Chief Election Commissioner Dnyanesh Kumar said, “We saw a few days ago that pictures of many voters were presented to the media without their permission. They were accused, they were used. Whether the Election Commission should share any voter, whether it is their mother, daughter -in -law, daughter, CCTV videos of CCTV videos? Whose names are in the voter list, they vote to choose their candidate.”
He said, “According to the law, if the errors in voter lists are not shared in time, if the election petition is not filed in the High Court within 45 days of choosing his candidate and then failed to mislead the public by using wrong words like vote theft, then what else is it not an insult to the Constitution of India?” He further stated that the photos, names and identities of the voters are publicly shown, which is a violation of his privacy.
