The IPL said in a statement, “This is a matter of first slow over-rate of his (Shreyas Iyer) team this season. Iyer has been fined Rs 12 lakh under Article 2.22 of the IPL’s Code of Conduct.”
It is clear from this that BCCI did not impose a fine of lakhs of rupees on Shreyas Iyer for defeating MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings.
