Shreyas Talpade gets big relief from Supreme Court, no arrest will be done in fraud case

The Supreme Court on Monday (21 July) has given interim protection from arrest of Bollywood actor Shreyas Talpade in the case of fraud and betrayal in Human Welfare Credit Cooperative Society, Sonepat, Haryana. Also, a bench of Justice BV Nagratna and Justice KV Vishwanathan issued notice to the Haryana Police and other parties on the petition filed by the actor and sought a reply. Shreyas had approached the Supreme Court to make up the FIR lodged against him. Now he has got relief from this fraud case. At present, Shreyas Talpade will not be arrested in this case.

What is Shreyas Talpade fraud case?

The case has come to light after a complaint lodged in Sonepat, accusing a multi-level marketing company of fraud and betrayal. The FIR included a total of 13 people including actor and brand ambassador Shreyas as well as Alok Nath. He was accused of betrayal, fraud and fake transfer of property. Murthal Additional Police Commissioner (ACP) Ajit Singh confirmed in January 2025 that the actor’s name was also included in the statement given to the police by the complainant. He had revealed, ‘The complaint is against the company who is accused of cheating people with the lure of investment. We are investigating what Shreyas and Alok Nath have to do with it. Please tell that the agent Vipul, an agent associated with the society, had told that he has opened more than 1000 accounts, but no money has been received in any of these accounts so far. The society had more than 250 branches across the state and about 50 lakh people were connected to it.

Meanwhile, Talking about the work, Shreyas was last seen in ‘Housefull 5’ alongside Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Fardeen Khan and Dino Moriya. The actor soon includes ‘Waxy to the Jungle’, ‘Baaghi 4’, ‘The Game of Girgit’ and ‘The India Story’.
