Shruti told that when he started in the Telugu film industry, he was considered ‘abusive’. He said, “My first two films did not work and there was only one hero in it, but people just assumed that we don’t want this girl ‘.”
Family struggle and reality of ‘privilege’
When asked if he was privileged in childhood, he clearly said, “No. My parents’ separation from Chennai to Mumbai and economic challenges brought me to the ground soon. We did not live in any palace.”

Shruti told that he has anxiety disorder and he resorted to Talk Therapy instead of medicines. “I have created my own healing toolkit. I like to handle my panic attach on myself.”

Shruti told that it was amazing to work with Rajinikanth. “He is a very comfortable, gentle and sharp person. It is difficult to understand him. Perhaps this is his specialty.”

He said about Sridevi, “She had childhood innocence which remained till the end. She was like a queen on the set, calm but powerful.”
Hollywood experience: Debut in The Eye
Regarding her Hollywood debut The Eye, Shruti said that the experience there was different. “He was a women-long team and real Sisterhood felt there. Was working with a female director and challenging.”
