The fourth Test match between India and England saw a tremendous competition between the two countries. The match lasted till the last day. On the fourth day, where England’s fall was heavy. On the fourth day, India was under threat of defeat. But after falling 2 wickets, Indian captain Shubman Gill and KL Rahul took the match with a big responsibility and took the match for the fifth day. In this match, both the players could not walk for long on the fifth day of the match, KL 90 and Gill century were completed.

India had to keep its wickets in hand throughout the day. In such a situation, Ravindra Jadeja and Washingatan Sundar played the match by saving India from defeat while playing all day. Both players scored a match by scoring a brilliant century. Meanwhile, some controversy was seen.

Shubman Gill responded to the British

Jadeja and Sundar refused to join hands with Ben Stokes. Actually Ben Stokes already wanted the Indian team to draw this match. Jadeja and Sundar did not want so and did not shook hands. After which both of them scored a century in the match. And Stokes was seen stung on it. This captain Shubman Gill also gave a befitting reply. They said that,

He spoke to broadcasters after the match and said, ‘I am very happy with the batting attempt. There was tremendous pressure on us in the last few days. Something happens on the fifth day wicket, every ball is like an event. We wanted to take the match deep by playing ball by ball. We talked about this.

Gill said- We felt that Jadeja and Sundar batted brilliantly. We felt that he was entitled to a century (about the decision not to join hands). Every match lasts till the last session on the last day. You get to learn a lot. Every Test match teaches you something new. It has taught us a lot as a team.

Statements on their century innings

India’s batsmen could not play a big innings even after being set in the first innings. To this Gill said- Whenever I bat, I want to do my best and enjoy my batting. We made a good score in the first innings. But many of our batsmen froze. On these wickets, it is necessary that if one or two batsmen go deep, then they should put big shots. You can really take away the match from the opposing team. Unfortunately this could not happen in the first innings. We could not turn this beginning into a big innings. But in the second innings, I am happy with the way we can do so.
