‘Save Siraj …’ veteran bowler Mohammad Siraj got upset after seeing the workload, warned team management
Mohammed siraj workload: Former players and experts are now feeling the need for workload management for Mohammad Siraj, the most impressed bowler on the Indian cricket team’s tour of England. Former Team India fast bowler RP Singh has expressed concern about Siraj’s fitness and said that Siraj should also be done as Jaspreet Bumrah is taken over.
Siraj played all the five matches of the England Test series and took a total of 23 wickets while bowling 185.3 overs. He was also the top wicket-content of the series. After this performance, while Siraj is being praised on the one hand, on the other hand the discussion about his fitness is intensified.
‘Siraj has now reached the level of Bumrah’
In a conversation with PTI, RP Singh said, “Siraj (Mohammed Siraj) is required to be saved from injury, because if the fast bowler plays a consecutive match, the risk of injury increases. Just as Bumrah’s workload was controlled and he bowled brilliantly in the World Cup, similarly it should be done with Siraj.” RP further said that Siraj has now reached the level where he has to perform continuously for the team and it is very important to handle his fitness and rhythm.
The last ball of the series became an example
RP Singh described the last ball of Siraj’s series as special. He said, “The yorker with which Gas Etkinson was bowled was 143 km/h and it was the fifth fastest ball of Siraj of this series. It shows that he did not give up till the last and gave everything to the team.”
Mohammed Siraj became an example of fitness and hard work
RP Singh also praised the fitness of Siraj (Mohammed Siraj). He said that Siraj bowled with full passion in all matches, never left a shortage of his efforts and that is why he proved to be the most spectacular player of this series.
