Skoda, Volkswagen recalled 47,000 vehicles, flaws in seat belt

Vehicle manufacturer Skoda Auto Volkswagen India has decided to recall more than 47,000 units in view of the problem in the rear seatbelt of several models, including Tigun, Warts and Kushak. Siyam, the body of vehicle manufacturers, has given this information on its website. According to this, the company is withdrawing 21,513 units of Tigun and Vertus manufactured between May 24, 2024 and April 20, 2025. Similarly, the company is also asking for 25,722 units of Kushak, Slavia and Kailak models.

Siam said in the statement that there is a possibility of breaking the bakal launch plate of Volkswagen Tigun and Warts’s rear seatbelt built over the stipulated period. This may threaten the safety of passengers sitting on the back seats.

Siam has also given the same reason for the Skoda models to be called back. When contacted in this regard, the company said that as a part of the group’s commitment to customers, Skoda Auto Volkswagen India has been backing to remove the concern of the possible seat belt, to maintain the concern of the possible seat belt, Slavia, Kushak, Kailak and Volkswagen vertus and Tigun models (24 May, 2024 to 1 April, 2024 to 1 April, 2024 to 1 April, 2024.
