Microsoft was sending notifications to users in this regard long back. Now the company is going to close it completely since 5 May 2025.
Microsoft has also taken care of the paid users of Skype. The company has stopped the service of Skype credit and calling plans for new users. But if you have already taken a Skype plan, then you will be able to use it till the next renewal date. But you have to keep in mind that as soon as the validity of the plan is over, you will also stop the Skype account.

After this, all your chats, contacts and calls will be transferred to details teams. In Microsoft Teams you will get single calls, group chats, group calls as well as file sharing.
