Sl vs Ban 2nd Test Day 3 Highlights: On the third day of the Colombo Test, Sri Lanka took a big lead of 211 runs and put Bangladesh in deep crisis. After the dismissal of Nisanka (158), Kusal Mendis scored 84 runs and brought the team to 458. In bowling, Prabhat Jayasuriya and Dhananjay de Silva stopped Bangladesh at 115/6. Bangladesh’s second innings stagger and the team is still 96 runs behind.

On Friday, June 27, Sri Lanka started the day with a score of 290/2 on the third day of the second Test being played between Bangladesh vs Sri Lanka at the Sinhalese Club ground in Colombo. The first day’s century, Pathum Nisanaka brought her score to 158 but Taizul Islam sent him to the pavilion. After this, captain Dhananjay D. Silva was also out LBW by scoring only 7 runs.

After this, Kusal Mendis took an aggressive stance and played a stormy innings of 84 runs and strengthened the Sri Lanka’s lead by adding runs. He shared an important partnership with Kamindu Mendis (33). Taizul Islam performed brilliantly in bowling and took 5 wickets and took five wickets in the Test for the 17th time for Bangladesh. Nayem Hasan also took 3 wickets. Sri Lanka’s first innings ended at 458 runs in 116.5 overs and the team got a big lead of 211 runs.

Bangladesh started once again in the second innings. Anamul Haq (4) and Shadaman Islam (14) were dismissed early. After this, Mominul Haq and captain Najmul Shanto could not stand and the team’s score increased to 70/4. Veteran batsman Mushfiqur Rahim also scored 26 runs and Prabhat Jayasuriya dismissed him.

Tharindu Ratnayake dismissed Mehdi Hasan Miraj and was reduced to Bangladesh’s innings 115/6. Taljul Islam and Litton Das were present at the crease till the stumps. By the end of the third day’s play, Bangladesh is still 96 runs behind Sri Lanka and has four wickets left. Sri Lanka looks completely dominated in the match.
