Newly constructed type-VII multi-storey flat for MPs.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated 184 multi-storey flats of newly constructed type-VII for MPs on Baba Khadak Singh Marg in New Delhi. On this occasion, the PM also planted a sindoor plant in the residential complex. PM Modi will interact with the laborers who built the flat and also addressed the attendees. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, Kiren Rijiju were also present at the inauguration of these flats.
PM Modi told the names of towers
During this, PM Modi said, “Today I have got the opportunity to inaugurate this residential complex for my colleagues in Parliament. The names of these 4 towers are also very beautiful- Krishna, Godavari, Kosi, Hooghly, four great rivers of India, which give life to crores of people. Now their inspiration will also flow new streams of joy in the lives of our public representatives.”
He further said, “Some people will also have trouble that they have named a tower on the Kosi river. So they will not see the Kosi river, they will see the election of Bihar … The tradition of rivers names binds us in the formula of the country.”
Why the highrise building built?
Let us know that these new flats were created because there was a shortage of housing for MPs. Due to limited land, tall buildings were constructed here, which would make better use of space and reduce the cost of maintenance. Each flat is about 5 thousand square feet of carpet area, which has the living of MPs as well as their office, staff room and community center. All these buildings are seismic and strong arrangements have been made for security.
New flats are equipped with modern features
- Green technology has been used in the new flats, making it environmentally friendly and energy saving.
- These flats used monolithic concrete and aluminum shuttering, making the building strong and completed work on time.
- This complex is disabled-witted, so that all people can easily use it.
- Each flat is about 5,000 square feet, with a lot of space for MPs to live and work.
- There is also a separate place for offices, employees residence and a community center in the campus, which will help MPs to do their work.
The project has been designed according to the GRIHA 3-Star rating standards and the rules of the 2016 National Building Code.
