Somi Ali expressed grief over the death of Meesha Aggarwal, said- the race of likes took away the identity
Social media Influencer Meesha Aggarwal said goodbye to this world at the age of just 24. Meesha committed suicide by coming into depression with declining followers on Instagram in the past. Meesha was known for her different comic content, fun reels and impeccable style.
Now Somi Ali, a former Bollywood actress and an NGO named ‘No More Tears’ in America, has deeply mourned Misha Aggarwal’s suicide. She said that even though she did not know Misha personally, her story is recognized very closely – because this story is of every girl from today who is stuck in the merciless system of social media.

Commenting on Misha’s death, Somi Ali said, “It is not just a mental health crisis, it is a sign of the decline of society’s morality.” He expressed displeasure over measuring human value in the digital world only with likes, views and blue ticks. He says that earlier the price of human being was measured by his character and purpose, but now it is all dependent on Instagram algorithm.
Lost in search of identity, not by numbers
Somi wrote, Meesha gave her life not because of Instagram numbers, because of losing her identity. He said that today we all have handed over our self -values to such invisible gatekeepers who decide who will look, who will be liked and who will be forgotten.

Somi Ali made an emotional appeal, especially to young creators who are breaking into the burden of virtual identity: “The post on which the views do not come, do not make you less. Don’t buy fake followers. You are already enough.”
He quoted casting directors as saying that nowadays more digital access is given priority than talent. His taut was, ‘Like the trauma will get validation only when it is monitized.’ We have to snatch our mental peace back from this machine. Misha will have to give changes not just a tribute. You were enough even before logging in. We failed to convince you.
