Sona Commentar has issued an official statement demanding that the upcoming annual meeting (AGM) of Rani Kapoor’s company be immediately suspended and allegations have also been baseless. The company said that Rani Kapoor, mother of the late chairman of Sona Commentar, Sanjay Kapoor, is not our shareholder.

The company said in a statement, the annual meeting which took place on July 25 was taken as per the prescribed time and legal advice. It was not possible to postpone this meeting. He is committed to high standards of transparency and corporate governance.

The statement said, he had no legal basis to postpone the annual meeting and at the same time Rani Kapoor is not the shareholder of the company. We were announced in May 2019 to declare important beneficial ownership. In this, Sanjay Kapoor was considered the only beneficial owner. So Rani Kapoor has not been a shareholder since 2019.

Sona Comstetar said that Sanjay Kapoor was the only owner of the RK Family Trust. The same trust is part of the Eurous Investments Private Limited, which is the company’s 28.02 percent shareholder. The remaining 71.98 percent shares are with the common people.

Responding to the allegations of appointment of Sanjay Kapoor’s wife Priya Sachdev’s company in the company, it was said that her name was already proposed and her appointment was duly reviewed. He was then approved. At the same time, the company made it clear that after the death of Sanjay Kapoor, no documents were taken nor signed from Rani Kapoor.
