The three -match ODI series between England and South Africa will begin on Tuesday, 2 September at the headingley ground in Leeds. Cricket South Africa (CSA) has also announced its playing XI for the first match of this series on Monday (1 September).

The responsibility of the opening has been entrusted to star batsman Aidan Markram and wicketkeeper batsman Ryan Recllet, while captain Tamba will bat on number three. Tony de Zorgy will be launched at number four and after that the middle order will feature explosive pair like Triston Stabs and Davold Bravis.

Vian Mulder and Corbin Bosch have been selected to play the role of all -rounders in the team. At the same time, Keshav Maharaj has been included as the only specialist spinner in the bowling department. Fast bowling will be in the hands of Nandre Burger and Lungi Angidi.

Significantly, two star players of the team, lead fast bowler Kagiso Rabada and the ongoing batsman Matthew Breetz will not be part of this match. The team management has decided to give him rest due to workload management and minor injuries.
