Special train running for passengers trapped in Ahmedabad after aircraft accident

Thursday An Air India aircraft crashed shortly after flying from Ahmedabad Airport in the afternoon. A large number of people are expected to be casualties in this accident. The Air India aircraft took off at 1:39 pm, in which 242 people, including two pilots and ten cabin crew members, led by Captain Sumit Sabharwal and First Officer Clive Kundar, were aboard. According to the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the aircraft gave a “Made” call soon after flying, but the air traffic control failed to respond to further communication. It crashed near Meghaninagar outside the circumference of the airport, where large bubbers of black smoke were seen rising from the spot.

Special Vande India Trains are running railway

To evacuate the trapped passengers in Gujarat, the Indian Railways has announced to run a special Vande Bharat train. Special Vande Bharat train will run from Ahmedabad to Delhi at 23:30 pm. At the same time, special Vande Bharat train will run from Ahmedabad to Mumbai at 12 pm. These special Vande India trains will help in removing people stranded in Ahmedabad.

Fuel was completely filled

It is reported that the aircraft was on its long distance international visit, for which the fuel was completely filled. This exploded when crashed and then increased the intensity of the fire. Several fire engines, ambulances and National Disaster Response Forces (NDRF) teams have been immediately deployed at the scene. According to the latest update, the rescue operation is still in progress and there is no official confirmation on the number of casualties. Prime Minister Modi has directed Union Ministers Amit Shah and Ram Mohan Naidu to visit the spot and monitor relief measures. Air India has activated an emergency center and deployed teams to help the families of the riders.
