According to the news, however, SpiceJet has not yet made any official statement on the matter. Let me tell you, SpiceJet had told on August 3 that before boarding the flight going to Delhi at Srinagar Airport, this senior officer attacked four ground staff of the airline, in which an employee had a spine fracture. The incident occurred when the officer was asked to pay a fee for additional cabin baggage.

Case registered under section 115

In this case, the local police have registered a case under Section 115 of the Code of Justice of India (BNS), which is a crime related to injury to a person. Apart from this, the said officer has also filed a complaint alleging assault against the airline staff in the police, after which the police have also lodged an FIR against the airline staff.

SpiceJet started paperless boarding system

SpiceJet has announced the implementation of paperless boarding process on Tuesday at Shillong Airport in Meghalaya. Under this new facility, passengers checking in the airport counter will now get the boarding pass through WhatsApp, which will eliminate the need for physical printout. SpiceJet reported that the process will be operated through the airline’s indigenously developed web departure control system.

It is a browser-based platform, which allows the check-in staff to issue digital boarding passes via WhatsApp or email using a tablet or airport standard computer. Also, baggage tags will be sent via SMS. SpiceJet is the first airline to introduce WhatsApp based boarding pass at airport check-in counters.
