Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Royal Challengers Bangalore by 42 runs in the 65th match of IPL 2025 to give their hopes to reach the top 2. In this match, the batsmen performed brilliantly for Hyderabad, scoring a mountain score of 231 runs on the scoreboard, in which Ishaan Kishan played a brilliant unbeaten innings of 94 runs and later Hyderabad bowlers stopped RCB within 200.

Earlier, Royal Challengers Bangalore won the toss and decided to bowl against Sunrisers Hyderabad, but Hyderabad openers scored 54 runs in 4 overs, pressurizing RCB bowlers from the beginning. Bhuvaneshwar Kumar defeated the Travis Head by 17 runs to give Hyderabad the first blow. After this, Lungi Nagidi sent a pavilion to RCB by sending Dangerous -looking Abhishek Sharma on a score of 34.

However, even after dismissing these two, RCB did not get relief and Ishaan Kishan continued beating the bowlers with one -sided and finally he scored a stormy innings of 94 runs in 48 balls with the help of 7 fours and 5 sixes, due to which Hyderabad’s team managed to score 231 runs in 20 overs.

After this, RCB needed a good start to climb a mountain of 232 runs and along with Virat Kohli, Phil Salt together took his team to 80 runs in 7 overs. Virat Kohli was dismissed for 43 runs but Salt continued his aggressive batting from one end and scored 62 runs in 32 balls before being dismissed. After this, Rajat Patidar contributed 18 and Jitesh Sharma contributed 24 runs but his team needed big innings to win, which he did not get. As a result, RCB’s team continued to lose wickets and finally the entire team was all out after scoring 189 runs in 19.5 overs. In this way Hyderabad won the match by 42 runs.

For Hyderabad, captain Pat Cummins took 3 wickets and Ishaan Malinga took 2 wickets. After this defeat, RCB’s hopes of finishing the top-2 have come down.
