Zimbabwe Tour of Sri Lanka: Sri Lanka’s team will visit Zimbabwe in August-September 2025, where a total of five matches will be played between the two countries. The tour includes two ODIs and three T20 matches. All matches will be held at Harare Sports Club. This T20 series is taking the Zimbabwe T20 World Cup as a preparation for the 2026 qualifier.

A good news has come out for cricket lovers. The Zimbabwe Cricket Board (ZC) has officially confirmed that Sri Lanka’s national team will visit Zimbabwe in August-September 2025. In this tour, the two teams will play a total of 5 matches of white-ball series against each other, including 2 ODIs and 3 T20 matches.

The tour will begin on Friday, August 29 with the first ODI, while the second ODI will be played on Sunday, 31 August. After this, the T20 series will begin on Wednesday, September 3. The second T20 will be played on Saturday, 6 September and the third and final T20 match on Sunday, 7 September. The special thing is that all the matches will be held in Harare Sports Club.

Zimbabwe’s team is watching this series as a preparations to qualify for the T20 World Cup 2026. Good performance in this series will give confidence to Zimbabwe. Givemor Makoni, Managing Director of ZC, said, “We are very excited about the hosting of Sri Lanka. Competition between the two countries is always exciting and this series will be an important opportunity for our team before the T20 World Cup qualification.”

Significantly, before this series, Zimbabwe will play a two -match Test series against South Africa. He will then take part in a T20i Tri-series with South Africa and New Zealand, as well as two Tests against New Zealand.
