Srinagar Airport opened 6 days after Operation Sindoor

Flight operations of Srinagar Airport have started on Tuesday 6 days after Operation Sindoor. The Air India flight from Delhi landed at 12:49 pm. The airport was closed from 7 May due to Indo-Pak tension.

Several flights from Delhi Airport to Chandigarh, Amritsar and Srinagar have been canceled. The Airport Authority had earlier stated that the flight schedule could change due to security reasons.

Airline company Air India has canceled all its flights to and from the 8 cities adjacent to the India-Pakistan border. These include Jammu, Leh, Jodhpur, Amritsar, Bhuj, Jamnagar, Chandigarh and Rajkot.

Indigo also canceled all flights in 6 cities after drones appeared in Rajasthan, Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir late last night. These include Jammu, Amritsar, Chandigarh, Leh, Srinagar and Rajkot Airport.

32 airports were opened on Monday after the Indo-Pak ceasefire. However, not yet all airports flight operations have been fully started.

AAI released the press release and informed about opening the airport

The Airports Authority of India on Monday informed about opening airports through press release. It said that 32 airports closed till May 15 are now available for aircraft operations with immediate effect. Passengers have been asked to see the websites of airline companies for information about flights.

More than 500 flights were canceled in three days
More than 500 flights were canceled by the airlines due to the flight shutdown. Many airline companies had given passengers a full refund or flight relationship option. There was a struggle between India and Pakistan till May 10.

The ceasefire (ceasefire) was announced by the two countries at 5 pm on 10 May. After this, the situation is becoming normal in the Indian states adjoining the Pak border. On May 11, an order was issued to restore 27 cancell trains in Rajasthan. Orders were issued to run 8 canceled trains in Ferozepur, Punjab normally.
