The Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Center (In-Space) said on its website that they have approved the ‘Starlink Satellite Communications’ to enable the provision of ‘Starlink Gen1 Constitution’ capacity in India. This approval is valid for a period of next five years. Let us tell you that Ilon Musk’s company Starlink was busy trying to start commercial operation in India since 2022. Today, Starlink has become the third company after getting approval from In-Space, which has been approved to start satellite internet in India.

The company got GMPCS license from DOT last month

The way to start satellite internet services in India for Starlink is now almost completely clear. Along with this, the company has taken a very big and important step towards starting satellite internet in India. Let us tell you that the company received the GMPCS license from the Telecom Department (DOT) last month. Now, with the approval of the IN-Space, Starlink has got the green signal to pursue its plan.

Onewab and Jio Satellite Communications have already got license

Let us tell you that the license was issued to the Jio Satellite Communications of Jio-SES Jio-SES supported by Bharti Group to provide sateline internet service in India. After which Starlink has now become the third company in India, which has been approved to start satellite internet in the country. However, it will take some time for Starlink to start its service in India, as the company will have to wait for spectrum allocation for it.
