Starlink’s satellite service will soon be launched in India
Starlink’s entry in India is almost certain. Alan Musk’s company has got the green signal from the government to start service. Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia said during an event on Wednesday that Spacex’s Starlink has completed all the necessary procedures to start service in India. They can start their satellite service in India after receiving regulatory and licensing approval.
All procedures complete
The Union Minister said that all procedures have been completed by the government regarding the entry of Starlink’s affordable satellite based service. Alan Musk’s company is now waiting for approval from the National Space Promotion and Authorization Center (IN-SPACE). Jyotiraditya Scindia said that service can be started after Starlink receives regulatory approval. According to the report, Elon Musk’s company Spacex can start its satellite service in India in the next two months. The company is currently working to build a base station in India. IN-Space Chairman Pawan Goenka has also confirmed that all Starlink licenses have been addressed.
In-space waiting for approval
In-space was formed by the Government of India in the year 2020. The IN-Space has already released the letter of internet to the Starlink. Its draft has been prepared. After the document signing between the regulator and the company, Starlink will get an official approval to start in India. Currently, the high speed broadband service is providing high speed broadband service in more than 105 countries of the world through Starlink Spacex’s 6,750 lower orbit satellites.
Apart from India, Starillann one has already started its service in neighboring countries such as Bhutan and Bangladesh. Starlink service in India can be quite affordable. The government has asked the company to provide affordable satellite internet service. Starlink service in Bhutan and Bangladesh costs about Rs 3,300 every month. Apart from this, One Time Equipment expenditure is around Rs 30,000.
