Share Market Opening 20 August, 2025: The Indian stock market started the flat on Wednesday. On the third day of the week, the BSE Sensex opened at 81,671.47 points with a gain of 27.08 points (0.03%) today. Whereas, on Wednesday, NSE’s Nifty 50 index started trading at 24,965.80 points with a decline of 14.85 points (0.06%). Let us tell you that after a tremendous rise on Monday, the market closed the business on Tuesday with a proper lead. Yesterday, the Sensex rose 370.64 points (0.46 percent) to 81,644.39 and the Nifty climbed 103.70 points (0.42 percent) to close at 24,980.65 points.
Bharti Airtel’s shares start well
On Wednesday, only 10 out of 30 Sensex’s shares opened in the green mark and the remaining 18 companies opened with a decline in red mark, while TCS and Axis Bank shares opened without any change. Similarly, today, only 14 out of 50 of Nifty 50 also started trading in green mark and the remaining 36 company shares opened in red mark. Bharti Airtel’s shares, one of the Sensex companies, opened the highest 1.50 percent today and Kotak Mahindra Bank’s shares today opened with a decline of 0.68 percent today.

Among other Sensex companies today, NTPC shares started 0.75 percent, Infosys 0.59 percent, BEL 0.50 percent, Eaterial 0.48 percent, Sun Perma 0.30 percent, Maruti Suzuki 0.26 percent, Powergrid 0.07 percent, Mahindra & Mahindra 0.01 percent and Bajaj Finance Shares started trading with loss of 0.01 percent.
These stocks including HCL, UltraTech Cement started trading in red mark
On the other hand, on Wednesday, HCL Tech shares 0.64 percent, Ultratech Cement 0.63 percent, Reliance Industries 0.55 percent, Bajaj Finance 0.45 percent, Titan 0.40 percent, Trett 0.39 percent, Asian Paints 0.36 percent, Tata Motors 0.34 percent, ICICI Bank 0.31 percent, LEDTI 6 percent, Unilever opened 0.25 percent, Tata Steel 0.25 percent, Adani Ports 0.18 percent, SBI 0.16 percent, HDFC Bank 0.15 percent, ITC 0.15 percent and Tech Mahindra’s shares open with losses of 0.13 percent.
